Guyanese Health Minister Frank Anthony praised the timely initiative, noting it would successfully guide local residents toward healthier lifestyles. Tackling the country’s high burden of chronic non-communicable diseases, Zhu spent six months bringing together various parties to get the project off the ground. The Ministry of Health of Guyana provided the venue, while Chinese enterprises Zijin Mining and Shandong Hi-Speed Dejian Group donated comprehensive facilities. Equipped for health testing, screening, education, and fitness, the center will provide accessible health services to local public servants and surrounding residents, further strengthening the bilateral friendship.
